Introduction
Baishui County, nestled in Shaanxi Province, embodies loess plains marked by gullies and a diverse ecosystem. It faces challenges of soil erosion, water scarcity, and degraded forests, impacting its 286,000 residents. The area's economic vitality centers on apple cultivation within a warm temperate continental monsoon climate, but faces environmental constraints. Proposed interventions target degraded forest sites in the Xinzhuo forest farm and six townships, aiming to address soil erosion, water scarcity, enhance biodiversity and restore the degraded forest landscape.
